Dont' get me wrong, I don't disagree with  pregnancy being end-game content, but that's because that's the logical end (you and your girls are reasonably dafe and stable, and it's time to think about a family - fin), rather than "we changed the world and now our children are safe".

Yes, I would totally have a child with Lin, right now, and entrust her (or him) to their half-brother or sister, for "safekeeping" once I'm gone. Along with Lin, really, since she is totally going to outlive the MC by several centuries.

No matter what, humans who are currently alive are not going to live more than a short century, so it's worth considering the very long term for our family, and that implies looking beyond the problems of the here and now. 

28x13 = 364, add New Year's Day as an extra day, and New Summer's Day every 4 years, and we could have had a 28-day calendar all along, simply by agreeing to 13 months in a year (there *are* reasons not to, largely related to 13 being prime, but the weeks would still be 52, plus one day that is left out of any week, so seasons could simply be 3 months and one week each).

Dare to be rational, Runey!

I see three possible reasons for that: 

1) Your game files are corrupted. It seems unlikely, since they are protected by the zip checksum, but try re-extracting the archive. This is the only reason I can see that may be fixable.

2) Your phone cannot handle the size of the game. This seems... Improbable, as the loading screen is not that big, memory-wise, but then again, it is kinda big screen-wise. Yes, it should resize automatically, but see below.

3) Your Android version is not entirely compatible with some of the features required to run the game (too old, too new, too many updates, not enough updates). There may be missing libraries, or libraries of the wrong version, or bugs, or bugfixes that introduced new bugs. For example, the game resizes a lot of stuff on the fly. This requires CPU or GPU power, and more importantly CPU or GPU calls, which may not be entirely cross-platform.

Or, something else entirely, but then I wouldn't know.

The game has long since passed the maximum size for an APK. The only realistic way to make it fit again into an APK is to remove all videos, and most of the still images, and essentially turn it into a text-only game.

You will notice that I am using a very loose definition of realistic here :P

Are there any scenes in the updates that cannot be reviewed from the gallery?

Runey isn't a fan of no-win scenarios, so either you cannot lose, or, in the rare case where you *can* lock yourself out of a certain route, there is a free code to "fix" that choice.

Nope, but knowing the details of the crash may help.

I would suggest, assuming you still have the original zip file laying around, that you first revert to the old version, then check that it works, and then download the patch again and try installing that.

If you were using mods, you will need to wait for those to update.

Maybe take it up with the Joiplay devs? No, seriously, post something on their discord or whatever, so that they know they broke stuff.

Runey is developing in ren'py, which is stupidly cross-platform, but he can't exacty increase Google's limits on APK size, or fix Joiplay to play nice with HH.

That would be Honey Select, by Illusion-dot-jp - after getting permission from the company.

Honey Select is sold as a game - which is weird, because it really isn't: it's basically Poser, hentai version, and it does that job stupendously well.

If, and only if, you have a working version of Joiplay (previous versions used to work, current version does not),  you can update by using the patch file, just like the PC players.

If you used to play with the APK... You have my sympathy. The current version of HH has too much content to fit in the APK limits. By, like, an order of magnitude. You can't fit an elephant into you cabin baggage. no matter how hard you squeeze it.

Pregnancy is supposed to be endgame content. We are not there yet.

Just for clarification: what you mean here, if I understand correctly, is that whatever Kate content is there is not, in fact, "Kate" content, as much as "Ashley" content that just so happens to feature Kate?

Assuming you downloaded the patch, which is a zip archive, and extracted the patch into its own folder, you will find a readme file in that folder.

I mean, you have to be a time traveler (as the sex-off happens before those particular girls enter your harem), but. :P

On an entirely different note: is there a way to change Lin's scores for the sex-off, when reviewing it in the gallery? She counts as if she had a 0 in everything, which is... Not ideal.

Also, the MC  is consistently called "Mr. Manager" throughout, when using the Gallery.

While that isn't a huge deal, it does mark the Gallery as "not the real deal" - so that, instead of remembering previous events, you are looking at some parallel reality.

HH isn't a 3d game, is a ren'py visual novel, creating using a 3d tool with an export to image (or video) function.

This means that, every time you see a girl in a different pose, that is an entirely different image or video (with a weight of several MB), instead of a different set of coordinates on an existing 3d model (with a weight of a few kB at the outside). 

Now, if Runey could use the Illusion engine to make the entire game, it would be MUCH smaller. 

Unfortunately, there are several problems with that idea.

First of all, Illusion does not, as far as I know, license out its engine and assets - and if they did, it would probably be outside of Runey's current development budget. 

Also, Runey isn't (to my knowledge) a C+/-* programmer, so he would have to get an entirely new skillset, which is of course extremely time-consuming. 

Also also, even if he were a C*+-/@?!# programmer already, he would still have to redevelop the game pretty much from scratch - or from a storyboard equivalent, at best. 

Which of course would introduce a whole new host of bugs, and take a very, very long time... Just to get back to where we are right now.

Basically? We either deal with an ever-increasing archive size for photos and videos, or else give up on the game entirely.

I don't know if the current videos are H265, but even if they aren't, which would mean some savings would be possible recompressing the videos... New content is coming, so the size of the archive is going to increase.

In a sense, Runey isn't developing a game as much as writing and directing a movie, and movies take up a lot of space.

Not anymore, unfortunately. The game is too big for APK, and the engine doesn't really do "install and download" à la "The Sims Mobile".

There is a howto for Android users in the description (find in page -> 1. Download the PC version of the game.), but it's not guaranteed to work, because it relies on third-party software. 

It's not really something Runey can fix, unless he starts making outrageous amounts of money, at which point he may or may not be able to talk the developers of Joiplay into making the "install, then download" option a thing.

(Just to be clear, I would not hold my breath.)

It's not really something the author or the community can help with. The usual advice is: clear your cache, delete all cookies, change browser, use a VPN, change internet provider, move to a different country.

Considering the MC is male... I would say no.

I don't have Sylvia, yet the scene with her and the cops (E&F L35->36) still happens. I don't think that is correct.

Of note: I upgraded from 0.15 rather than redownloading the entire game and restarting.

Edit: I also don't have Nia, but if I try to go back to my room I get told that I should get closer to Nia, and then sent back to whichever floor I was on.

Edit edit: if I visit Lin at night on a Weddingday, she is laying on the bed in leaf clothing and "getting ready for bed", then she stands up and switfly changes into a shirt when I clicik away her line, but then reverts to leaf clothing if I interact with her sister. 

Edit edit edit: and then, if I interact with Lin, Jia is in leaf clothing, even though she was still in her normal clothing a moment before, both with Lin on the bed in leaf clothing and with with Lin standing and wearing a shirt.

The girls' levels are, in order: 28 32 43 30 37 36 36 22.

Hugs. Lots and lots of hugs (i.e., repeatable interaction, like the other girls). She just lost the love of her life, after all, she deserves all the hugs.

The latest answer with the full solution (as opposed to a hint) was 23 days ago, placed under an image of Kate asking ???

She should be back on her feet in the next update, which is expected to be in 3 months or so based on past performance. She was hit hard, but she's a survivor, and the entire game is about fixing your girls, it would go against the grain of the story for Maria to become permanently broken.

Whether or not Runey will have the time or inclination to change the scenes in the dungeon to account for her new situation is anybody's guess. In the meantime, if you want to have some dungeon fun with Maria, you will have to load up an old save.

I believe there is a Patreon level that gives you access to the nuclear football, which I so dubbed because it has a good chance of nuking your save by setting friendship levels independently, to whatever index you want, with essentially no restriction  (AFAIK).

The problem is that the game is complex. Like, MB upon MB of lines of code complex.  There are interlocks in the girls' stories that can end up with a situation like the one you had, inconsistent states that make the game unplayable.

The "max-this" cheats are safe, because Runey specifically went to the trouble of making them safe: they cross-check that all the interlocked states are appropriately updated, so that, like in this case, if you are maxed with the twins you are also at the minimum required friendship with ashley. They also set whichever hidden variables need to be set to their appropriate values.

Going backward is a lot more complicated: even something as simple as setting all friendships to 0 isn't guaranteed to work, because there are other variables that have been set and need to be reset. The game does not expect you to see *unique* events *twice*, and so inevitably all those states are not meant to be updated twice, which, again, can leave your save in an inconsistent and unplayable state.

In better news, most events are replayable in the gallery, and you can even make different choices and see how they would have played out. These choices don't affect your save, for better or for worse, so you can go crazy.

As a matter of lore, I can tell you that harems, at the very least, are allowed and even common in certain areas of the world. At least for those who have money. You are told so in a side character scene.

Hm... Ashley's max level is 40, so you seem to be missing a few events there. I can't remember how many relationship levels you get in the last event, but I don't think it's 4. 

Did you use any cheats? Cheating friendship levels can and *will* come back to bite you, unless you know *exactly* what you are doing. And by that I pretty much mean "unless you are Runey", or at least acting under advice from Runey to fix a bug.

Otherwise, all I can think of is: did you get all the college events *and* the bar events for all of them? 

Also, you might need the barista outfit for Maria as well.

Anything more than that I think needs Runey's attention.

(Edit: thinking about it, the cheat option is the most likely to have broken stuff, so I moved it up for readabilty)

If you are at the second-to-last event with each, you should get them just bypassing time. For the last Android event, go tothe first floor, then go back to your room. If that doesn't work, try again on the second floor. Repeat on each time of the day and each day of the weekand you will eventually get a message alerting you that taking the last step will lock her out until the next update.

Maria is a morning event, and I think Ashley is as well, so they should trigger on their own in your room.

What is your friendship with the twins?

The Ashley event  is not bad, honestly... Bittersweet maybe? 

You do get a clearer picture of the lurking abyss that is her depression, but you also get something that you could call a happy ending, except it's not a happy ending because it's not an ending: her story is not finished yet.

The Maria event, OTOH, goes from confusing to enraging to confusing again (YMMV), all served with a large helping of soul-crushing sadness - and  possibly with some fridge horror for dessert.

Whelp... When this tablet dies, I guess I'll  buy a hybrid pc then. At least I can still access all  of my data on one of those.For now.

Going around that limitation probably requires rooting the device, which is always a bit of an iffy proposition.

This has been rehashed a few times now...  You may want to read the posts down below.

In short, the game has exceeded the limits placed on APKs by the android system. The only way to release it asn an APK would be to do so without  any of the new images. 

No, they cannot be compressed any further, they were altady compressed to  hell and back in the preevious release and it was already close to the limits. With all  the new events and the new animations that ship has sailed, caught fire, exploded, and sunk.

It is possible to play the game on android, using theworkaround explained at the end of the game's description, in the unimaginatively yet very descriptively titled section: How to play on Android.

The MST3K mantra has a problem: it basically tells you to take a work that could potentially be the object of advanced sociopolitical commentary and turn it into me like boobs.

Now, if the original work is at the level of me like boobs, that is fine and dandy. If the original work is trying to spark sociopolitical commentary, however, that is less fine and not quite as dandy.

Not arguing for the OP's position, mind, I'm just saying that you should only use the MST3k mantra if you think that the work is "me like boobs" level .

Some codes are free for all players to use (e.g., changename, truestory), some are not. For those codes that are not free and had been leaked prios to 0.12, you will find that they no longer work.

If your file manager offers the option, try searching for all .save files. However, it sounds like you uninstalled the app and your android decided that the saves should go with it.

Addendum: In case you haven't come across it before, cheat codes need to be entered at the computer in your room. There is a "text editor" kind of icon that asks you to enter the code.

and put it into the new game

You need to use a file manager of some description, either the one that comes with your Android or one you downloaded from google play. You copy the saves from folder A to folder B.

Once you are done, open the new version of the game and your saves should all be there.

If you cannot find folder A... Then I cannot help you mon.

Had to look up the appropriate image but... Yeah. Yeah, I hear you.

"And you were supposed to be at work 20 hours ago" implies that you have been playing for... Eh, 30 hours or so? +/- 5 hours, anyway.

Still, you shoudl probably keep your sessions to 4 hours or less. Get some water, some fruit, a bit of stretching... Then dive right back into it.

A couple of pages down there is a post that has the paths for both the old and the new saves. Search for  "data/" in your browser window and you will find it. It's 18 days old or so.

Pretty sure I read the answer in here before.  Check a few pages down, I think the  old folder was in data/something/something., Ctrl-F is your friend.   The new saves should be in the same location as the PC ones under your exploded folder, I think.

Two or three pages down. Ctrl-F is very much your friend. Look for data/ (with the / at the end).
